Four-ply, sterile gauze sponges are the perfect balance between strength and absorbency compared to traditional cotton gauze. This rayon/polyester-blend gauze produces less lint and is less traumatic to fragile, granulating wound tissue because it's virtually nonadherent. Faster wicking ability promotes a healthier healing environment. Avant Gauze is a standard nonwoven dressing.
